Antes de su llegada a Buenos Aires hablamos con Rome Ramirez guitarrista de Sublime with Rome que se presentarán el 19 de septiembre en el Teatro Flores.

¿Cómo va a ser el espectáculo que presentarás en esta nueva visita?
Nueva música, nuevo sonido y, sobre todo, ese sonido Sublime.
Aunque «Sublime» (el álbum) significa mucho para tus fans, ahora tienes dos álbumes más, «Yours Truly» (2011) y «Sirens» (2015). ¿Qué se tiene en cuenta a la hora de preparar el setlist?
La parte más difícil es simplemente poder adaptar toda la excelente música de Sublime en un setlist. A medida que la banda crezca y publique más y más música nueva, tendremos que ser cada vez más creativos con la forma en que organizamos el setlist o descubrir maneras de tocar más tiempo para nuestros fanáticos.
Desde que Bud Gaugh se fue, Josh Freese se hizo cargo de la batería y ahora Carlos Verdugo se está estableciendo allí. ¿Qué puedes decirnos sobre él?
Josh era y es un baterista estrella de rock. ¡No hay nadie mejor que él! Estuvimos muy contentos de tenerlo detrás del equipo durante todo el tiempo que lo hicimos. El escogió a Carlos para nosotros después de nuestra gira con Tribal y desde entonces hemos estado rockenado.
Pasaste de ser fan a ser miembro de Sublime. ¿Cómo te sientes ahora después de 9 años de gira?
Todos los días pienso cómo conocí a mi esposa y tuve un bebé y he viajado por todo el mundo debido a la música de Sublime.
No hace mucho, escuchamos un adelanto de «Wicked Heart», una nueva canción. ¿Qué puedes decirnos sobre esa canción y sobre el próximo álbum?
Wicked Heart es la mejor canción que he escrito y es una de las canciones más honestas de la que he sido parte. Eric cree que es la canción más grandiosa en la que ha tocado el bajo.
Finalmente: ¿Qué le puedes decir a tus fanáticos en Argentina, que están esperando ansiosamente el espectáculo del 19 de septiembre en «El Teatro Flores»?

How´s it going to be the show you´ll be presenting in this new visit?
New music, new sound and most of all that sublime sound.
Even though “Sublime” (the album) means a lot to your fans, now you have two more albums, “Yours Truly” (2011) and “Sirens” (2015). What do you take into account when it comes to prepare the setlist?
The most difficult part is just being able to fit all of Sublimes great music into one setlist. as the band grows and releases more an dmore new music we will just have to become more and more creative with how we arrange the setlist. or figure out ways to perform longer for the fans.
Since Bud Gaugh´s leaving, Josh Freese took over the drums and now Carlos Verdugo is setting there. ¿What can you tell us about him?
Josh was and is a rockstar drummer. It dont get much better than him ! We were very glad to have him behind the kit for as long as we did. He hand picked Carlos for us after our tour with Tribal and ever since then we have been rockin’.
You went from being a fan to being a member of Sublime. ¿How do you fell now after 9 years of touring?
Everyday i think how I met my wife and had a baby and have traveled all around the world because of sublime’s music.
Not long ago, we heard a sneak peek of “Wicked Heart”, a new song. ¿What can you tell us about that song and about the next album?
Wicked Heart is the best song i ever wrote and is one of the most honest songs i have been apart of. eric thinks its the biggest song hes ever played bass on.
Finally: ¿What can you say to your fans in Argentina, who are anxiously waiting for the September 19th show in “El Teatro Flores?
