Valeria Massimino y Fernando Casals conforman un dúo creativo con más de veinte años de trayectoria en medios nacionales e internacionales como periodistas, documentalistas y reporteros gráficos. Su pasión por el cine los llevó a explorar diversas facetas del arte audiovisual, consolidándose como realizadores, productores y comunicadores con una voz propia.
En 2014 fundaron Revista Meta, un medio cultural de referencia que luego dio lugar al videopodcast Meta Cine y a la productora audiovisual Meta Pelis. A través de estos espacios, han expandido sus horizontes creativos y fortalecido su presencia en la industria.
Como codirectores de cine documental, su filmografía incluye cinco producciones con recorrido en festivales nacionales e internacionales. Entre sus títulos se destacan el largometraje Braschi TV Color (2020), y los cortometrajes Rita, La Salvaje (2020), If You Don’t Wanna Know, Go Away (2023), Me Dicen Ninin (2024) y Los Ojos de Helen (2025), seleccionados en certámenes de Europa, Latinoamérica y Estados Unidos.
Además de su trabajo como realizadores, imparten clases y talleres de fotografía y podcasting para públicos de todo el mundo, transmitiendo su experiencia y enfoque autoral a nuevas generaciones de creadores.
Actualmente se encuentran en producción de su primer proyecto de ficción, un nuevo desafío que promete seguir expandiendo los límites de su creatividad.
Valeria Massimino and Fernando Casals are a creative duo with over twenty years of experience in national and international media as journalists, documentary filmmakers, and photojournalists. Their passion for cinema has led them to explore various facets of the audiovisual arts, establishing themselves as directors, producers, and communicators with a unique voice.
In 2014, they founded Revista Meta, a leading cultural platform that later expanded into the Meta Cine video podcast and the Meta Pelis production company. Through these projects, they have broadened their creative scope and strengthened their influence in the industry.
As documentary filmmakers, their work includes five projects that have been showcased at national and international festivals. Currently, they are in production on their first fiction project, a new challenge that promises to further push the boundaries of their creativity.
