En Septiembre brilla el sol en Nueva York y hay mucho por hacer. El buen clima hace que los turistas caminen más que en invierno. Hay muchos eventos al aire libre, de día y de noche. Una parada ideal en pleno Manhattan es Pershing Square, justito frente a la estación Grand Central, para relajarse de la vorágine de la ciudad y comer muy bien.

¿Por qué nos pareció perfecto Pershing Square? Porque tiene todas las opciones en un mismo lugar, los precios son buenos y la comida es deliciosa y fresca (todo lo que se sirve en Pershing Square fue cocinado en el día). Sean desayunos, almuerzos o cenas.
Un amplio espacio, que se siente parte del puente de Pershing Square que, además de darle nombre, sirve de «techo» del lugar. Un ambiente elegante, que conserva la esencia de otra época. Un túnel del tiempo hermoso.
Tip: Traten de adivinar que imágenes esconde el impresionante cuadro que adorna el centro del salón… se sonrojarán.
El cálido trato de todo el equipo de Pershing (en su mayoría latinos) hace al turista sentirse como en casa. Eleazar nos cuenta que hace 19 años trabaja allí y cada día es fascinante. Otra curiosidad es que en temporada alta, atienden más de mil personas y solo en el desayuno… Es que, además de todo, tienen los mejores pancakes.
La competencia en New York es voraz, decenas de restaurantes nuevos se abren año tras año (no todos sobreviven) y todos parecen interesantes a simple vista, pero hay que saber ver y elegir. Pershing Square es un lugar con mucha historia que recomendamos visitar.
Para los paladares exigentes que buscan entusiasmarse con platos creativos y excelentes tragos (nos encantó también la barra de tragos). Por supuesto también para quienes van en familia y desean pasar un buen rato. Cuentan con una amplia variedad para vegetarianos, menú para niños, exquisitos cortes de carne, comida marina, y una gran carta de vinos, cervezas y surtido de postres que completan una experiencia neoyorkina perfecta.

En Bus el MTA a 42nd Street en Vanderbilt, y allí caminar una cuadra al este hacia Park Avenue. En auto FDR hacia 42nd Street – seguir hacia el oeste de Park Avenue. West Side Highway hacia 42nd Street – seguir hacia el este hasta Park Avenue.
In September the sun shines in New York and there is much to be done. Good weather makes tourists walk more than in winter. There are many outdoor events, day and night. An ideal stop in the middle of Manhattan is Pershing Square, just opposite the Grand Central station, to relax from the crazyness of the city and eat very well.

Tip: Try to guess what images the impressive painting that adorns the center of the room hides … you will blush.
The warm service of the entire team of Pershing (mostly Latinos) makes tourists feel at home.
The competition in New York is voracious, dozens of new restaurants open year after year (not all survive) and all seem interesting to the naked eye, but you have to know what to choose. Pershing Square is a place with a lot of history that we recommend visiting.
For demanding palates looking to get excited with creative dishes and excellent drinks and also for those who go in a family party and wish to have a good time. A wide variety for vegetarians and a great wine list, beers and assortment of desserts complete a perfect New York experience.
