HIPA anuncia a los ganadores de septiembre de su concurso de fotografía de Instagram

El Premio Internacional de Fotografía Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (HIPA, por sus siglas en inglés) ha concluido la edición de septiembre del Concurso de Fotografía Instagram «Agua». Se anunciaron cinco ganadores para la competencia que recibió presentaciones bajo el hashtag #HIPAContest_Water. Los ganadores del concurso procedían de; Bahrein, Indonesia, Irak, Kuwait y Turquía respectivamente. El ganador del premio «People´s Choice Award» de septiembre también recibirá una nueva cámara Nikon D7200 SLR, cortesía de Nikon Middle East.

El Secretario General de HIPA, Su Excelencia Ali bin Thalith dijo: “El agua a menudo se asocia con la vida y la salud, y es un ingrediente integral para la supervivencia de la mayoría de los organismos vivos en este planeta. Durante décadas, los fotógrafos han intentado dominar las imágenes de agua en su fotografía, algo que se ha visto aún más asistido con el advenimiento de la tecnología moderna de edición de fotos. A través del concurso de fotos de Instagram de este mes, deseamos perseguir a todos aquellos fotógrafos talentosos que pueden capturar la pureza del agua a través de sus fotografías. Deseo agradecer a todos los fotógrafos que participaron en la edición de este mes del Concurso de Fotografía de Instagram, y también quiero felicitar a todos los ganadores por sus hermosas presentaciones «.

El ganador en septiembre del ‘Premio People’s Choice Award’ fue Taisir Mahdi @taisirphoto de Irak y dijo: «Capturé mi fotografía ganadora en un poblado pobre y pequeño en las afueras de la capital iraquí, Bagdad, en 2015. Es de una niña que sostiene un recipiente de metal debajo de un grifo de agua tradicional que se utiliza a menudo en las zonas rurales de Irak. El agua pura y fría proporcionada a través de este método antiguo y tradicional es a menudo la única forma en que algunos de los pobres en Irak pueden obtener agua potable. A pesar de haber ganado muchas competiciones en línea, ser un ganador en el Concurso de fotografía HIPA Instagram es un hito especial en mi viaje fotográfico. La apreciación de los demás fotógrafos que me permitió ganar el «Premio a la elección del pueblo» también es muy agradable y un honor absoluto. «Planeo aprovechar este importante logro al seguir en red con mis colegas fotógrafos y tratar de capturar más fotografías únicas en el mundo que me rodea».

Otro ganador, Edy Pamungkas @edypamungkas_ de Indonesia, dijo: “Un día, y sin aburrimiento, decidí fotografiar una gota de agua en mi casa. Con la ayuda de una luz de flash y un dispositivo sensor llamado HSP (Fotografía de alta velocidad), logré controlar y capturar las gotas de agua y las gotas. En mi opinión, estas delicadas gotas de agua tienen un gran valor artístico debido a las hermosas imágenes que pueden crear si se capturan correctamente. Espero poder inspirar a más fotógrafos para capturar imágenes únicas, a pesar de ser el ganador por primera vez en un concurso fotográfico. Me gustaría agradecer a HIPA por continuar presionando y nutriendo a los fotógrafos prometedores como yo, y espero participar en más concursos de fotos de Instagram en el futuro.

HIPA announces September winners of its Instagram Photo Contest

The Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA) has concluded the September edition of the Instagram Photo Contest themed ‘Water’. Five winners were announced for the competition which received submissions under the hashtag#HIPAContest_Water. The contest winners hailed from; Bahrain, Indonesia, Iraq, Kuwait and Turkey respectively. September’s ‘People’s Choice Award’ winner will also receive a brand new Nikon D7200 SLR Camera, courtesy of Nikon Middle East.

HIPA Secretary General, His Excellency Ali bin Thalith said, “Water is often associated with life and health, and is an integral ingredient to the survival of most living organisms on this planet. For decades, photographers have attempted to master the imagery of water into their photography, something which has seen further assisted with the advent of modern photo editing technology. Through this month’s Instagram Photo Contest, we wished to pursue all those talented photographers that are able to capture the purity of water through their photography. I wish to thank all the photographers that took part in this month’s edition of the Instagram Photo Contest, and also wish to congratulate all the winners on their beautiful submissions.”

September’s winner of the ‘People’s Choice Award’ was Taisir Mahdi @taisirphoto from Iraq and he said, “I captured my winning photograph in a poor and small village on the outskirts of the Iraqi capital Baghdad in 2015. It is of a young girl holding a metal bowl under a traditional water tap that is often used in rural areas in Iraq. The pure and cold water provided through this old and traditional method is often the only way some of the poor in Iraq are able to obtain drinking water. Despite winning many pervious online competitions, to be a winner with the HIPA Instagram Photo Contest is a special milestone in my photographic journey. The appreciation of fellow photographers which allowed me to win the ‘People’s Choice Award’ is also very pleasing and an absolute honour. I plan to build on this important achievement by continuing to network with fellow photographers and seeking to capture more unique photographs in the world around me.”

Another winner, Edy Pamungkas @edypamungkas_ from Indonesia said, “One day and out of complete boredom, I decided to photograph a water drop in my house. With the help of a flash light and a sensor device called HSP (High Speed Photography), I managed to control and capture the falling water and droplets. In my opinion, these delicate water droplets hold great artistic value because of the beautiful imagery they can create if captured properly. I hope that I can inspire more photographers to capture unique images, despite being a first time winner in a photo contest. I would like to thank HIPA for continuing to push and nurture up-and-coming photographers like myself, and I hope to take part in more Instagram Photo Contests in the future.
