El Premio Internacional de Fotografía Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (HIPA) ha concluido la edición de junio del Concurso de Fotografía de Instagram que se tituló ‘Mezquitas’. Se anunciaron un total de cinco ganadores para la competencia que recibió presentaciones bajo el hashtag #HIPAContest_Mosques. Los ganadores del concurso provienen de; Irán, Líbano, Arabia Saudita y Turquía respectivamente. Por segundo mes consecutivo, HIPA también otorgó un ‘People’s Choice Award’ a uno de los ganadores que recibió la mayor cantidad de likes de Instagram por su propuesta ganadora. El ganador del ‘People’s Choice Award’ de este mes recibirá una Nikon D7200 SLR Camera, presentada por Nikon Middle East y África.
El Secretario General de la HIPA, Su Excelencia Ali bin Thalith, dijo: «Las mezquitas se consideran algunas de las maravillas arquitectónicas más singulares que conoce el hombre. Evocan un sentido de espiritualidad y nostalgia en las personas que los visitan, ya sean adoradores allí para realizar oraciones o turistas que visitan para apreciar su belleza. Del mismo modo, las mezquitas no están restringidas a un solo diseño o estilo, sino que están desarrolladas de forma única por diferentes culturas y naciones de todo el mundo, lo que se suma a la intriga detrás de estos hermosos lugares de culto. Con todo esto en mente, presentamos un desafío a nuestra comunidad de fotografía para que refleje las mezquitas de la manera más creativa y única posible. Los resultados han sido sobresalientes y deseamos felicitar a nuestros ganadores de junio por su arduo trabajo y compromiso «.
El ganador iraní, Fayaz Bahram @fayazbahram, que también recibió el ‘People’s Choice Award’ por recibir la mayor cantidad de likes de Instagram en su fotografía ganadora (6,735 Likes) dijo: «Capturé mi fotografía durante una asignación en mi país natal, Irán. . La arquitectura única de la ubicación de la tarea, un punto de referencia religioso, me fascinó hasta el punto de que me olvidé de mi tarea original y comencé a fotografiar el lugar de adoración en su lugar. La inspiración dentro de la mezquita me ayudó a producir algunas de las mejores fotografías que he capturado y estoy muy satisfecho con eso. Para mí, las artes y la fotografía son preocupaciones que utilizo para alejarme de algunas de las dificultades que enfrento en mi vida cotidiana. Esta victoria sin duda me impulsará a buscar más éxitos en la competencia principal de HIPA y otros concursos de fotografía internacional «.
Otro ganador de junio, Siraj Alquraish @ siraj_alquraish de Arabia Saudita, comentó: «Durante el mes sagrado del Ramadán, y durante una visita a una mezquita local en la ciudad de Safwa en la Provincia Oriental de Arabia Saudita, pude ver una hermosa imagen que pensé que debía ser fotografiado. La simetría dentro de la antigua mezquita me inspiró para tomar tantas fotografías como fuera posible y mostrar la espiritualidad encapsulada dentro de sus paredes. Confiaba en que mi fotografía ganadora se convertiría en ganadora en el Concurso de Fotografía de Instagram HIPA debido a lo que sentí fue su belleza y encanto únicos, y afortunadamente mi confianza fue probada. Me gustaría agradecer a HIPA por esta oportunidad y espero competir en futuras ediciones del Concurso de Fotografía de Instagram «.

‘Mosques’ winners announced for HIPA’s Instagram Photo Contest
The Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA) has concluded the June edition of the Instagram Photo Contest which was titled ‘Mosques’. A total of five winners were announced for the competition which received submissions under the hashtag #HIPAContest_Mosques. The contest winners hailed from; Iran, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Turkey respectively. For the second month in succession, HIPA also awarded a ‘People’s Choice Award’ to one of the winners who happened to receive the most Instagram likes for their winning submission. This month’s ‘People’s Choice Award’ winner will receive a Nikon D7200 SLR Camera, presented by Nikon Middle East and Africa.
HIPA Secretary General, His Excellency Ali bin Thalith said, “Mosques are considered to be some of the most unique architectural marvels known to man. They evoke a sense of spirituality and nostalgia in people that visit them, be it worshippers there to perform prayers or tourists visiting to appreciate their beauty. Likewise, mosques are not restricted to a single design or style but are developed uniquely by different cultures and nations around the world, adding to the intrigue behind these beautiful places of worship. With all this in mind, we set out a challenge to our photography community to reflect mosques in the most creative and unique ways possible. The results have been outstanding and we wish to congratulate our June winners for their hard work and commitment.”
Iranian winner, Fayaz Bahram @fayazbahram, who also picked up the ‘People’s Choice Award’ for receiving the most number of Instagram likes on his winning photograph (6,735 Likes) said, “I captured my photograph during an assignment in my native country of Iran. The unique architecture of the location of the assignment, a religious landmark, fascinated me to the point that I forgot about my original assignment and began to photograph the place of worship instead. The inspiration from within the mosque helped me produce some of the finest photographs I have ever captured and I am very satisfied with that. For me, arts and photography are preoccupations that I use to get away from some of the difficulties I face in my everyday life. This win will no doubt spur me on to seek further success in HIPA’s main competition and other international photo contests.”
Another June winner, Siraj Alquraish @ siraj_alquraish from Saudi Arabia remarked, “During the holy month of Ramadan, and during a visit to a local mosque in the city of Safwa in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, I caught a glimpse of a beautiful image which I figured must be photographed. The symmetry inside the old mosque inspired me to shoot as many photographs as possible and showcase the spirituality encapsulated within its walls. I was confident that my winning photograph would become a winner in the HIPA Instagram Photo Contest due to what I felt was its unique beauty and charm, and thankfully my confidence was proven right. I would like to thank HIPA for this opportunity and hope to compete in future editions of the Instagram Photo Contest.”
